FDA panel backs use of Gardasil in boys, young men

FDA advisers endorsed the approval of Merck & Co.'s vaccine Gardasil to prevent human papillomavirus infection in males ages 9 to 26. The panel reached the decision after reviewing data from clinical trials involving more than 5,400 boys and men from six continents and 23 countries.
