Obama addresses critics' worries in health care speech

After leaving the debate about health care reform largely in the hands of lawmakers during the summer, President Barack Obama presented his case in a televised address before a joint session of Congress. He confronted what he called a "blizzard of charges and countercharges" on his proposals to overhaul the health care system. Obama denied an allegation that his plan would provide health care subsidies to illegal immigrants.
