Study: Many diabetics exceed recommended daily fat, sodium levels

A study of almost 2,800 middle-aged and older U.S. adult patients with Type 2 diabetes found that most were consuming more fat and sodium than the recommended daily intake. "The findings clearly illustrate a need to provide ongoing nutrition education for people with diabetes regardless of the amount of time they've had the disease," the lead researcher said.
