N.J. districts cut costs by localizing professional development

Educators in New Jersey are training each other at in-house professional-development seminars because of cuts to training budgets. Officials say there is also a greater focus on individual-school plans. "Because we do it all locally, it is more cost-effective for the district," one administrator said.
