NSF provides $18.5 million grant for Texas nanotechnology center

The National Science Foundation is granting $18.5 million over five years to the University of Texas and two academic partners for a new nanotechnology research center. UT will work with the University of California at Berkeley and the University of New Mexico, along with 11 industrial partners, to create nanotech-based products that could be developed by spinoff companies in Austin, Texas.
