37 million workers might be better off with exchange-sold plans

Up to 37 million U.S. workers might be better off dropping employer-based health coverage and purchasing a policy from a public exchange, a study published in the journal Health Affairs says. A mass exodus from employer-based plans could cost the federal government far more than anticipated in subsidies and tax credits, the researchers said.
