401(k), IRA rules could be changed in budget negotiations

The way retirement is financed in the U.S. could be dramatically changed this year as the Obama administration and Congress discuss proposed modifications to the way 401(k) retirement savings plans and individual retirement accounts work. The administration's proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning on Oct. 1 calls for six major changes to 401(k)s and IRAs.
