Better care access, patient satisfaction seen with PCMH model

Patients who received health care from a teaching clinic using a patient-centered medical home model reported better access to care and satisfaction than those who obtained care from a control clinic, a study in JAMA Internal Medicine indicated. However, there was no difference in emergency department use among the groups, and hospitalizations increased in the PCMH group while admissions declined in the control group.
