Colleges grow social media degree programs

For a growing number of college students, social media is about more than connecting with friends and family -- it's a career path. Schools, including Southern New Hampshire University and Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y., are offering social media programs to prepare students for jobs in social media marketing and social media management. Supporters of the trend say the programs could be useful for students pursuing multiple career paths.
