DOL postpones release of fiduciary rule proposal until after October

The Department of Labor is abandoning its schedule for making public a proposed uniform fiduciary rule for all financial advisers who work on retirement plans, said Phyllis Borzi, the Labor Department's assistant secretary for the Employee Benefit Security Administration. "You're not going to see anything in October because we're not finished," she said. "We're trying very hard to make sure we've crossed all the T's and dotted all the I's."
