Educator makes the case for a relationship-centered approach

Schools, teachers and students would benefit from the adoption of a relationship-centered approach that shifts away from a subject-centered approach that focuses on gaining content knowledge. Tyler S. Thigpen, head of the upper school at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Atlanta, writes in this commentary that such an approach would make learning more interesting for students, encourage teacher collaboration and promote creativity in solving real-world problems.
