A new report suggests ways colleges can work to improve the communities that surround them. The report, released by the Democracy Collaborative, a research center at the University of Maryland, College Park, outlines how institutions can measure their impact on 12 societal outcomes, including educating students, affordable housing and creating a healthy environment.
