Input is sought on federal plan to address adverse drug events

HHS is seeking feedback on its draft National Action Plan for Adverse Drug Event Prevention, which aims to align the work of federal health agencies and recognize common, measurable, preventable and clinically significant adverse events related to medications. The initial focus will be on opioids, diabetes treatments and anticoagulants. Comments on the draft will be accepted until Oct. 3.
