Iowa educators receive training in response-to-intervention techniques

The Iowa Department of Education recently led a training for more than 300 educators from districts across the state on response-to-intervention techniques as part of a push for early literacy, including an effort to bring all students to reading at or above grade level by third grade. Officials say RtI will be used to assess students at least three times a year, identify those who are struggling and help them succeed.
