Ky. county school board exempts 8 schools from no-cellphone policy

The Jefferson County, Ky., school board has voted to allow students at eight high schools to use cellphones on campus. The vote exempts the schools from a policy barring students from using cellphones at school, allowing them to use the devices for educational purposes. Officials say individual schools will determine how cellphones are used.
