Leaders of regional banks see tepid loan demand

Loan demand remains sluggish and is even declining in some cases, executives of regional banks say. Business owners are "concerned about the future of the economy, about taxes, regulation, insurance," said Kelly King, chairman and CEO of BB&T. The bank expects loan growth of 2% to 4% this quarter compared with Q3 of 2012.
