Minn. tech college students dig into sustainable food production

Dakota County Technical College in Minnesota offers students a certificate program in sustainable food systems, which can accompany the school's previously established landscape horticulture associate's degree program. The new program, which stems from the rising interest in locally produced foods, focuses on the growing, harvesting and marketing of sustainable crops planted in urban gardens and small plots of land.
