Some rural schools switching to four-day workweek

To save transportation, heating and other costs, some rural schools in Louisiana, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and South Dakota are moving to four-day school weeks by extending the school day by one hour. A principal whose Louisiana school has switched to a four-day week says student morale, discipline and grades have risen.
