Detroit parents say substitute teachers don't measure up

Substitutes filling seven high school math and science classes while principals search for certified teachers don't know enough about the subjects they are supposed to teach, some parents say. The substitute teacher "just told the class to go to page 112 and follow the directions because he doesn't know anything about geometry," said parent Zenia Joiner. "That's unacceptable."
