Mass. biotech center developing fund-distribution guidelines

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center is in the process of setting guidelines for distributing $500 million in investment funds and tax incentives that it received under the state's $1 billion life sciences program, CEO and President Susan Windham-Bannister said at a forum. Participants offered several suggestions, including offering seed money for startup firms and providing matching funds for NIH grants.
