McDonald's reports sales growth in U.S.

McDonald's reports show that comparable sales in its company-owned U.S. eateries were up 4.5% in August versus last year. The burger giant gave credit to its "popular breakfast menu, the Olympic-themed Southern style chicken sandwich and biscuit promotion, and every-day affordability, with a special focus on beverages."
