The Northeast Organic Farming Association allows members to share philosophies on organic farming and lawn care, which have seen heightened popularity in recent years. The association also offers certifications in organic farming. "I went to the NOFA course because I wanted to learn as much as I could about the whys and hows of organic lawn care," said Debbie Cook of Greenscapes, a state-funded program in Massachusetts to encourage the practice of ecofriendly methods and water conservation.
