PET/CT boosts clinical oncology research at U.K. university

Siemens Healthcare's Biograph 40 TruePoint PET/CT scanner has been installed at Newcastle University in England, where researchers are conducting clinical trials to evaluate the scanner's efficacy for implementing radiation treatment plans. The scanner combines the features of PET and CT to provide researchers a more accurate representation of various cancers, Siemens said.
