Study: Sound Transit's expansion could cut traffic by 30%

According to a recent study, the expansion of the Sound Transit light rail in Seattle could trim traffic by 30%. The proposed $22 billion expansion, which would add 36 miles of light rail between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport, has to be approved by voters. Sound Transit commissioned the study from consulting firm Parsons Brinckerhoff and the Victoria Transport Policy Institute.
