130 Boeing 737s under FAA microscope

The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking enhanced structural inspections of an estimated 130 Boeing 737s flying in the U.S. The request comes two months after a Southwest Airlines Co. jet suffered a foot-wide tear in its fuselage while in flight. The stepped-up inspections come hot on the heels of a safety advisory issued by the plane's manufacturer, Boeing Co.
