CRE loans originated after 2005 carry highest risk

The credit crunch might cause the biggest shakeout of the commercial real estate market in more than 20 years. "For anything originated after 2005, the chances of those loans going into default are very high," said Ethan Penner, president of CBRE Capital Partners. "A large majority of the loans originated in this period will ultimately go into default."
