Drug regimen treats leukemia without chemo, radiation

Dutch researchers said a drug regimen that includes the corticosteroid dexamethasone successfully treats children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The study found adding the drug improved cure rates and reduced relapses without using radiation and chemotherapy.
