After opening its first hypermarket in Moscow this year and its second store in Russia on Thursday, France's Carrefour said it will continue to pursue Russian acquisition targets. "For Carrefour, [the] Russian retail market has outstanding long-term potential. Despite the crisis, we are not going to change our long-term vision of this country," said Carrefour's Russian director, Jacobo Caller. "With Brazil, India and China, Russia is one of the priorities in the long-term expansion of Carrefour."
