Colo. veterinarian is appointed president of human-animal bond group

Dr. Robin Downing, a veterinarian from Colorado, recently was appointed president of the American Association of Human-Animal Bond Veterinarians at the AVMA conference. Founded in 1993, the organization seeks to help veterinarians nurture the bond between humans and animals. "Pets don't just add life to our years, they add years to our life," Downing said.
