Alaska schools seek to improve education through online learning

Alaska's Learning Network is a new partnership among schools in the state designed to use online learning to help expand access to academic courses for students in rural areas. The group is now offering 19 Web-based courses, including those that students need to qualify for a state scholarship program. However, challenges remain, including ensuring reliable Internet access to remote areas of the state.
