Disney reorganizes consumer products division

The Walt Disney Co. has reorganized Disney Consumer Products, putting Marvel, Pixar, Walt Disney Studios and other units under the umbrella group and naming Robert Chapek as president of Disney Consumer Products, which handles licensing and retailing for various Disney lines of business. Meanwhile, the California State Assembly has approved a compromise bill that puts off for one year a mandate to have Amazon.com collect sales tax on products sold to customers in the Golden State.
