Lagarde says shortfall of European banks was misreported

Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, said reports were misleading in citing an IMF estimate that European banks need about €200 billion in additional capital. "There has been misreporting about the €200 billion; this number is tentative," Lagarde said.
