San Diego restaurants toss food, start over after power failure

A power outage in San Diego last Thursday took a toll on area restaurants, which had to throw out seafood, sauces and other food items, and about 800 foodservice facilities had to close after the health department notified them not to use tap water. Some eateries say they'll recoup losses through insurance, while others say their policies don't cover power outages unless they exceed 24 hours.
