Some UAE private schools welcome students with disabilities

Many traditional schools in the United Arab Emirates that say they are inclusive have turned away students with special needs, according to a report. Now, a growing number of private institutions are opening their doors to such students. "We develop an individualised plan for each child and mark what their strengths are and define the goals they need to achieve," said Berna Bouwer, an education psychologist and inclusion teacher at one centre.
