Study: "Helicopter parents" may increase children's risk for obesity

Parents who show too much concern while their children play may cause the youths to be less active and put them at risk of childhood obesity, a study to be published in the American Journal for Preventive Medicine found. Experts said these so-called "helicopter parents" usually interrupt their child's active play, which in turn makes the child more sedentary.
