Veterinarian fights hunger in Haiti

Veterinarian Myriam Kaplan-Pasternak is helping alleviate Haiti's poverty and hunger with a rabbit-for-food program and the Haiti Coffee project. The rabbit-for-food program teaches Haitian farmers about rabbit farming and the Haiti Coffee project provides revenue by selling Haitian coffee. Dr. Kaplan-Pasternak and her husband, also a veterinarian, are working to introduce the same programs in Rwanda and El Salvador.
