Understanding reached; 9/11 museum construction to restart

Construction could resume by the end of this month on the National September 11 Memorial Museum. The 9/11 Memorial and Museum Foundation and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have signed a memorandum of understanding that resolves funding, oversight and financing issues. On Monday evening, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, chairman of the museum foundation, said, "I’m very gratified that on the eve of this important anniversary we are able to announce an agreement that will ensure the completion of the 9/11 museum."
