Dietitians say people need more information about fiber

Fiber is a nutrient so it's listed on food labels, while whole grain is a component of food so it usually isn't included, making it more difficult to track, registered dietitian Joanne Slavin says. People often do not get enough daily dietary fiber, and dietitians recommend learning about good sources, such as whole grains and fruits and vegetables. RD Carlene Thomas added, however, that eating more fiber is about making better food choices, not eating greater quantities.
