EHR adoption improves diabetes care, study says

A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association revealed shifting from paper to electronic health records resulted in fewer emergency department visits and hospitalizations in patients with diabetes. Improved treatment for various conditions, not just diabetes, may have contributed to the positive outcomes, the lead researcher said.
