Fla. county school board expands extended-transition program

The Pinellas County, Fla., School Board has approved an expansion of the district's extended-transition program, which serves people with disabilities who are 18 to 22 years old. Through a partnership with the city of Gulfport, participants will be able to work as groundskeepers or office workers. Participants already receive job training by taking care of a school campus.
