High insulin levels are found to coincide with better vascular health after weight loss

Data on 208 obese and overweight patients showed that those who lost more than 10% of their weight and had higher plasma insulin levels attained better blood vessel function compared with those who had lower insulin levels. The results in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology suggest that insulin levels may determine a patient's vascular health following weight reduction, researchers said.
