Intel sees $100 Android tablet, intros tiny chips for wearables

Intel disclosed plans Tuesday to introduce Atom processors for Android tablets that will enable the devices to be sold for about $100, top executives said Tuesday, but declined to give a time frame for bringing such a chip to market. The company also said it would produce a new line of low-power "Quark" chipsets, designed for the fledgling wearable device market, that will be a fraction of the size of its Atom processors.
