Rivals turn to Twitter as Apple announces new iPhones

Apple's major rivals all took out Twitter ads on Tuesday in a bid to counter the online buzz surrounding the launch of new iPhone models. Nokia, Samsung, Microsoft and others bought ads tied to Twitter searches for "Apple" or "iPhones" in an effort to capitalize on the 25,000-tweets-per-minute chatter spurred by Apple's event.
