Roku to add streaming from third-party apps capability

Roku is adding a discovery and launch protocol feature to its media devices, enabling users to stream video content from third-party applications, Donna Tam writes. The feature, which isn't available yet, is similar to what the Google Chromecast dongle can do with Netflix and YouTube videos, she notes.
