Study identifies challenges in boosting student interest in math, science

A lack of understanding about the courses necessary for college success, the college application process and federal financial aid may be limiting Idaho high-school students' pursuit of careers in science, technology, education and math, according to research from the University of Idaho. Data from the first three years of the five-year study show that more than 70% of 10th-graders do not want jobs that require math and science skills.
