Voters in Mass. town approve Penn slots parlor

Voters in Plainville, Mass., approved a casino proposal from Penn National Gaming by a more than three to one margin. The casino developer has proposed a slots parlor at a local racetrack. "We’re grateful for the overwhelming support expressed today for expanded gaming at Plainridge Race Course," said Eric Schippers, Penn senior vice president, in a statement.
