WTO meeting deadlocks over farm subsidies

The U.S. is racing to break the impasse in Cancun and continue on the path toward world trade liberalization. The U.S. was unprepared for the unified demands of 21 developing nations -- led by Brazil, India and China -- for the U.S. and Europe to end $300 billion in farm subsidies. Separately, the WTO agreed to admit Nepal and Cambodia as members.
