Hotels, retailers team up, offer mileage credits

More hotels and airlines are teaming up with retailers to give frequent fliers and loyal customers bonuses for purchasing merchandise while booking travel through their Web sites. Many online retailers give customers between three and 10 miles, or loyalty points, for every dollar spent and then in turn pay the airlines and hotels for the miles or points that they give away.
