Study: Financial rewards encourage employee weight loss

Researchers studied more than 200 overweight office workers, one-third of which were given a financial reward for losing weight. After three months, those who received $14 for every 1% decrease lost five pounds, those who received $7 lost three pounds and those who received nothing lost two pounds.
