DOT says passenger counts down for first six months of 2008

An increase in international travelers was not enough to offset a fall in domestic traffic as U.S. airlines saw overall passenger counts fall by 1.5 million in the first half of the year compared to the same time period in 2007. The 0.4% decline was reported Thursday by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
